Today I got pair of ankle and wrist weights .
Both of them are adjustable weights .
So it was new thing for me , I never used weights when I am doing kenpo ( aka karate ) . I used 3 pounds for both ankles and 1.5 pounds for wrists . It was hard.
I mean it was HARD!
P90X Cardio is 3 section ; starts with some yoga moves , after warming up with yoga you do some kenpo ( lots of kicks and jabs ) and in last section you do pylometrics moves ( aka jumping exercises )
Cardio X is hard itself , it makes me sweat like I never sweated before . But with weights . Oh men you gotta BRING IT!
P90X Ab Ripper is more for your core . I am now bulking so my 6 packs starts to disapper slowly . Even they disapper they are still there and I need to keep them strong . So best way to do it is doing Ab Ripper.
Ab Ripper is 11 different exercises with 25 reps each . Near 300 moves , in 15 minutes !
Anyway my workout was great , a little bit hard because of new weights . But in the end that feeling " I did it " is great .
Thats all for today , I am going to write an article about how to bulk with P90X tomorrow .
-Have a good day .
Keep it up man! Hopefully you beat my record of 62 days of P90x
ReplyDeleteI had wrist and leg weights before, I wore them for about a month without taking them off, and when I did, I couldn't walk properly for a good few hours =D
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to tell me how to feel great after a workout sometime. I'm usually too busy aching and whining.
@ LegendaryLiNX
ReplyDeleteSeems like I already beat your record :) This is my second round .
Which is 90 days + 9 days + 1 week of Double program .
I am on the 106th day . Keep it up and BRING IT !
I do ab workouts everyday, feels great
ReplyDeleteKeep at it man stronger willed than I am, can't stick with a work out routine for more then perhaps a week.
ReplyDeleteI got my own little work out going. Trying to get in the groove before I get into P90x, sounds extreme.
ReplyDeleteSweet as, I've tried out ankle weights with leg raises and you never really realize how much of a difference they make until you try them.
ReplyDeleteIm enjoying keeping up with your progress it helps keep me motivated in my own fitness routine, keep up the great work man.
ReplyDeleteNice post, you actually are slowly convincing me to work out... one day :p

ReplyDeleteLooks like a good routine, I used to do some plyometrics and they really burn but I could really see the progression.

ReplyDeleteThis really helps.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the whole weight-loss thing now, I don't really have a program that I follow though, I'm just wingning it.
ReplyDeleteI might look into this one though, if you seem to think it's so effective. I would also like to try the wrist and ankle weights, sounds hard!
